Alois consists of the original bar and dining rooms in the Victorian Hotel portion of Bube's Brewery. Each individually decorated room, employing hand stenciling and other painting techniques, is a work of art worth seeing in its own right. The Alois Experience - dinner begins in the “parlour” (the original bar) with appetizers and cocktails. After time to relax with their first course, our guests are invited to move to their table in one of the Alois dining rooms for the other courses which include a soup, salad, and sorbet course followed by their choice of entrée. Dinner is followed by dessert and coffee. . Reservations are recommended for the Alois Restaurant. Alois is open Wed and Thurs from 5:30 to 9:00 PM, Fri and Sat from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Call 717-653-2056 for reservations.

Beverages Menu

The Alois Martini Bar - those that prefer a lighter, more casual dinner may remain in the Alois bar to dine.  There is a list of well over 100 different martinis and a selection of Bube's hand crafted beers on draft. Wines by the bottle, glass and traditional cocktails are available also. If you enjoy drinks, but not the alcohol, there is a list of alcohol free libations. Dining in the Alois bar can include selections from the "parlour menu" of appetizers or Alois entrees a la carte. In any case we want your experience to match your mood and our desire is to accommodate you.

Reservations are not necessary for the Alois Martini Bar. The Alois Martini Bar is open Wed and Thurs 5:00 PM to midnight, Fri and Sat 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and Sunday from 5:00 PM to 11 PM. (The Alois Martini Bar Menu is available the the same hours as the Alois Restaurant is open. )

The Alois Live music series - live jazz music is performed by a selection of jazz groups from our area as well as from Philadelphia and New York. Performances are every Friday and Saturday at 9:00 PM. Every other Sunday we feature a live jazz jam session at 7:00 PM. See our Alois Special Events Schedule.

Murder Mysteries in Alois - our Bube's in house troupe of actors and the Alois staff present a murder mystery dinner on selected dates (see our evens calendar). An entertaining evening and a complete dinner are included in the price of $35.00 per person. Depending on which date you choose you will be a guest at one of the following:

1. It is the opening night of the Central Hotel at Bube's Brewery in 1889 with Mr. And Mrs. Alois Bube, the mayor of Mount Joy and other invited dignitaries. You are among the honored guests.
2. It is the first social occasion arranged by the Duchess of Norfolk since the passing of her husband the Earl. Join the Duchess for her first party.
3. It is a séance and masquerade dinner given by Mrs. Harry Houdini who is trying to contact her late husband in the presence of her dear friends and invited guests. Join her in her quest to communicate with her husband.
4. It is the meeting of the Adventurer's Club, a gathering of intrepid souls from around the globe that meet to share their great adventures.
