Hands Off Altbier - 5.9% ABV

Deep amber, verging on brown, this lagered ale was brewed in the traditional North German manner and fermented as cold as ale yeast can handle, then aged at cellar temperatures for four months before serving. The aging allowed this highly hopped (by German standards) beer to mellow and for the flavors to meld into a smooth, easy drinker that is as close to a lager as possible while still being an ale.
